Intersectionality Day Virtual Event

All Queer Experiences are valued, but none are the same!

While it is necessary for LGBTQIA+ community members and allies to find connection in our similarities, it is important that individuals be able to identify with their intersecting identities.  Although many may fall under the umbrella term, "Queer", individual differences in identity and experience should be appreciated.  Where possible, individual privilege should also be acknowledged, for marginalization can occur even in spaces designed to be welcoming to all people.

Please join us for a virtual panel and a fun activity to understand the concept of intersectionality and how forms of discrimination and oppression overlap across various identities such as race, class, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ability, and more. By understanding one another, we can build community through empathy, solidarity, connection and see our shared humanity. This is a FREE event and it's open to all ECC students and community!
