May 25 Hermosa Beach City Council to issue Proclamation designating June as PRIDE month; Rainbow Flag to be raised for the month of June; Pier Avenue to be lit in rainbow lights for the month of June

June 1 Manhattan Beach City Council Proclamation designating June as PRIDE month; Rainbow Flag to be raised at City Hall for the month of June
June 1 PFLAG’s PRIDE 2021 “Everyone is Welcome” stickers: Support our local businesses displaying PFLAG Welcome stickers in an ongoing, visible demonstration of PRIDE (stickers available to other businesses upon request). We encourage businesses to join us in displaying PRIDE by decorating windows in PRIDE themes and posting on social media (#pride2021, #pridemonth, #showyourpride, #pflagsouthbay, #pflagmanhattanbeach, #lgbtqcommunity, #allarewelcome, #shoplocal)
June 5 Tabling Event: Village Market, Manhattan Village Mall Plaza, 12 to 4 p.m. - Come visit our table or volunteer to help us spread the word about PFLAG’s work in our South Bay community.
June 5 Bridge Cities Alliance PRIDE Flag Raising, 1 p.m., Welcome Park, 415 N Gaffey, San Pedro
June 10, 11, 14 PFLAG placing Full Page ads in Beach Reporter & Daily Breeze celebrating PRIDE & promoting business givebacks in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach
June 10-20 Manhattan Beach to light Pier in Rainbow colored lights (turns on at dusk on June 10th)
June 12 #49Bells commemoration of Pulse Nightclub shooting, Manhattan Beach Community Church (MBCC) (begin at 11:55 am); 303 S. Peck Ave., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 (lower courtyard)
June 15 Shop with PRIDE Day: Support these local South Bay businesses returning a % of their proceeds to PFLAG Manhattan Beach/South Bay:
Moonshine Sugars (donating proceeds for the entire month of JUNE!)
Yoga Loft (donating class proceeds on June 11th!)
June 15 MB and HB storefronts will be decorated to celebrate PRIDE and post their photos on social media
June 16-27 Hermosa Beach: Lifeguard Tower Community Painting Event
June 19 PRIDE Paddle, 10:30 a.m., Redondo Beach King Harbor
June 26 Hermosa’s official PRIDE day! We will have a full day of events - from breakfast to night. Grab the kids, your friends, your new Hb PRIDE tee (coming soon) and meet us on Saturday June 26. We can’t wait!
